EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

The Revolt Summer Surf Series (RSSS) is a San Diego based Pro Am surf series contest dedicated to providing a stage for both male and female surfers (Professional and amateur) to perform in their sport and be recognized for their achievements. For the past four summers, the RSSS has dedicated itself to the establishment and development of a ‘Green’ Pro Am surf series that is supported by surfers and media from around the globe. This platform has allowed the RSSS to help talented surfers, advance their skills in a positive and safe competition format. We are proud to provide an eco-friendly, family friendly, outdoor event setting for all of our competitors, sponsors and the thousands of spectators in attendance at each event. Not only are we building an event platform that focuses on the competition of surfing but also helping generate additional revenue for the surrounding businesses & coastal communities. We are privately insured and secure proper permits from San Diego Parks and Recreation for each event.

In 2011, the RSSS offers surfers a four contest event schedule including: (2 events) at Crystal Pier in Pacific Beach and (2 events) at the OB Pier in Ocean Beach. All events include an open Pro Am division, Open Women’s, Junior’s (13-16), Grom’s (12 & under), Open Longboard, Open Stand Up Paddle (SUP), and an Expression Session. In 2011, the RSSS is expected to be even larger than previous years, with more prize money, larger setups, live web casts, stronger media ties, and other events such as Surfboard Demo’s & Winch Demo’s. Fun beach games and Live DJ’s will add to the festival atmosphere and entertain the spectators and competitors. The gift bags awarded to all the top riders at each event are full of the finest gear & swag from our sponsors.

With the help of our partners at San Diego Life Guard Association, Lifesaving Del Sur.org, The Surfrider Foundation San Diego Chapter, San Diego Coastkeepers, Clean Water org. and Buster Biofuels we will help raise ocean, coastal and environmental awareness through these events. The use of solar power, eco friendly products and beach clean-ups and recycling programs at each event is not only smart,  but sends a great message. We care!

2011 CHARITABLE PARTNER: Surf LIfesaving Del Sur
SLDS was formed to direct funding into lifesaving training, equipment, and personnel to adequately staff and patrol the public beaches of Los Cabos. In addition to instructing advanced lifesaving academies for El Colegio de Bomberos y Administradores de Emergencias in Cabo San Lucas, they have donated the rescue equipment and literature necessary to run these academies, and equipped the existing Bomberos Salvavidas in the Cabo San Lucas Voluntary Fire Department. A portion of the proceeds raised thru RSSS events and t-shirt sales will go directly to SLDS
